FAQs

The answers to commonly asked questions.

How do I start?

Schedule an assessment lesson.  We'll talk about your goals, introduce you to our program and expectations, then decide if it's a good fit.  If it is, you'll then choose a membership package and we'll schedule lessons!

What if I don't know anything about a horse?

That's fine!  All levels of horsemen  & horsewomen are welcome.  You've got to start somewhere.

Do I need my own helmet?

Not for the first lesson.  We do ask that you get one within the first month.  We want you to have the fit and adjustments that are just right for YOU.

What if it rains on my lesson day?

Our curriculum covers mounted and unmounted horsemanship.  We like to use the rainy days to cover unmounted lessons.  We only cancel if roads or bad or if it is severe weather.

What is the commitment?

Learning a new skill or hobby requires an investment of time.  We prefer that you commit to a minimum of one weekly lesson to ensure you receive the time to grow your new skillset.

Is there a weight limit?

For the safety of our riders and horses we do have riding weight limits.  Horses over 14.2 hands may carry up to a 250 lb rider.  Horses under 14.2 may carry up to 190 lb rider.  There are no weight limits for Unbridled Members.
